Zofia Aniela Lategano

Zofia has been painting for over 25 years mainly with oils on canvas. She received a Masters of Arts in 1991 from Montclair State University in NJ. Zofia studied abroad in Poland and travelled to Italy, France and England to paint. She recently completed a series of large landscape paintings depicting vast beaches, skies, clouds and dunes inspired by the beautiful beaches on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Gallery Opening

Zofia moved to Cape Hatteras with her family in 1998 and opened her own Art Gallery in 2000 in the town of Avon, NC. Zofia's Art Gallery is both an art studio and gallery where artists of all ages can join in and take part in a day of painting while vacationing on the outer banks. After closing her Gallery in 2007 for three years, Zofia is happy to announce that she has reopened her gallery and studio this spring of 2010. It is still in the same location at the Dairy Queen Plaza in north Avon but in a much larger space.

Zofia’s love for the arts continues to be her focus. Her lively spirit and love of life are driving forces behind her artworks. Zofia is looking forward to another productive year of creating new paintings and inspiring others to paint and create artworks.
